Ferson Creek's 10 Days of Giving with Big Hearts was an absolute success! Our community came together in an amazing way! Thank you to every single person and student who donated, was a volunteer shopper, spread the word and collected items at morning drop off. You all made this happen! We were able to GENEROUSLY fulfill all 20 student wishlists between items donated and shopped for with $4,455 in monetary donations by Ferson families and local businesses. We had $1450 left over and purchased gift cards for meals, toiletries, winter coats and school supplies that Big Hearts of Fox Valley can use the rest of the year for D303 families in need.

This is a great opportunity to purchase holiday gifts! A portion of your purchase will be donated back to the Ferson Creek PTO and is being allocated to support the school-wide Townhall kindness initiative!
The second i-Ready diagnostic assessment is scheduled to be taken between December 3rd and December 13th. This is a mid-year check on how students are progressing towards their growth goal. Please see this letter from our Assessment Department for specifics, including how to access your child's scores.
The Salvation Army’s annual Jim Wheeler Toys for Kids program is
again in full swing. This program collects and distributes toys for
the needy boys and girls of the Tri-City area. The program is named
in honor of the late Jim Wheeler who was the creator and driver
behind this effort.
Once again, we are asking for your support of this program for
children at Christmas time. We are looking for new, unwrapped toys
and games and also will be accepting monetary contributions and
gift cards to help make this Christmas a very special one. This
program has had great success in the past due to your support.
In the past, you have helped us by adding new and unwrapped toys
to our toy collection boxes at your school. The items you provided
made so many families happy.

- Please leave your name, your child's name, phone number, reason for absence and your child's symptoms if ill.
- If you have advance notice of an absence please fill out our prearranged absence form, inform your child's teacher and submit the completed form to the front office. You are allowed up to 5 prearranged absences per school year.
Our parent volunteers are an integral part of our school community. Therefore, we'd love to invite you to spend time with Ferson Creek students during lunch and lunch recess.

Please keep in mind that it is important to keep our students, staff members, and volunteers safe while they are in our schools. Given that, all volunteers must:
- Have your ID ready and sign in at the office to receive your visitor badge.
- EACH YEAR complete a Volunteer Liability Form. If the school does not have one on file for you and you do not provide one, the office will provide one for you when you come for your first day as a volunteer.
