In Case You Missed It...
And the Victors Are...
The annual Faculty vs. Student Basketball Game was played yet again last Friday evening, and the teachers narrowly escaped with a hard fought 86-83 victory. The event was well attended by both students, parents and curious onlookers and their attendance helped raise well over a thousand dollars to put towards student activities throughout the district. Events such as these continue to help build pride in the community and raise school morale, so thank you to everyone who came out to support this Manville tradition.
Becoming an Aztec Warrior!
¿Cómo estás?
The 6th graders in the Cycle 4 Spanish class are learning how to answer the question ¿Cómo estás? (How are you?). Each student received a cometa (kite) and drew an emotion on it. We hung them all on the door under the heading "los vientos de marzo" - the Winds of March. Hopefully we all find happy days ahead!
March Madness Book Edition
School districts across the country honor the late Dr. Seuss by participating in Read Across America Week. During this week, the ABIS faculty participated in their own version of “March Madness” by choosing which Core novels are their favorites. The results are in and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is the winner! A big shout-out goes to all who participated!
Each grade has their own "showing" for you to check out.
