Welcome 2025

Welcome Back to 2025!

It's wonderful to see familiar faces again and to kickstart a new year of learning together. The weather has thrown us for a few loops upon our return, but the staff and students have been resilient. Students were eager to play in the snow. Thank you parents/guardians for dressing students appropriately and giving them the opportunity during the day to make life long memories with friends in the snow at SGS.
We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead in 2025 and look forward to building upon the strong foundation we established in the first half of the school year. Our January and February seem to slow down, which will be a great time to buckle down on our studies. We are here to support you every step of the way, and please don't hesitate to reach out to your teachers or me if you have any questions or need assistance.

🙌 Monthly Shout-Outs

All-State Elementary Choir

Mrs. Comley had her honor choir students send in virtual audtions that were judged by s panel of teachers from across the state. 10 of our Elementary students were selected to the All State Elementary Choir and 6 of our 6th graders were chosen as All - State Middle Level Choir. Elementary Choir students selected were: 3rd grade: Theo and Rachel, 4th grade: Harper, Royce, and Luella. 5th Grade: Jessica, Charlie, Oksana, Vivian, and Sam 6th graders: Ransom, Leila, Presley, Hunter, Paige and Avery.

Mr. Comley and Easton - 1st Semester State Farm Kindness Winners

Mr. Tori Tipp from State Farm in Lyons presented one teacher and one student a basket full of gifts from surrounding communities for their acts of Kindness first semester. Mr. Comley, our 3rd grade teacher, and Easton, a 6th grade student were awarded the accomplishment.

Principal for a Day

BryAnn and Charlie were our Grand Prize winners from our Grinch Punch Board. Each day in December students were selected to win a prize from the Grinch Punch Board. All students were selected by the end of December. These young ladies won a golden ticket to be The Principal for the Day. They checked to make sure teachers and students had everything they needed for the day, ran the Kindness ornament and Grinch Punch board at lunch and were the MC's at the December Assembly. They were naturals and definitley have the makings of a leader.
