Bethel the Beautiful

Hard to believe it's already March!! Our teachers and students have been working extremely hard and I'm so proud of everyone! March is going to be a busy and exciting month! We start out with our annual Read Across America Week, and end with 27 week testing. Thanks for all your support as we continue to strive to be Bethel the BEST!!

Thanks for participating in our red and black Pisgah Day in honor of these wrestling champions!! NC State Wrestling Champion, Kane Bryson and State Runner Up, Landon Pope!

This coming Wednesday, our Clothes Bin will arrive! It will be located in the lower parking lot and will be a great way for BES to earn money by brining your old clothing, shoes, and textiles. BES will earn $0.07 a pound. North Canton Elementary has been earning $200-$300 monthly! Check it out later this week!!

Check out our Spirit Week this week for Read Across America Week! This annual event is always a fun time celebrating reading at BES!

Our annual Adopt a Pet day that coincides with Reading Across America, will be on Friday, March 7th. This is a fun event for students! They adopt a stuffed animal, name it and get to take care of it. This is a free event sponsored by our PTO. Thanks, PTO!!

The first word of every month is a NC Portrait of a Graduate Skill. This month's skill is communication. We want our students to be able to do the following:

1. Engage in conversation by asking questions and contributing in class.

2. Give and receive feedback from their peers and teacher.

3. Present their knowledge and ideas- telling stories, sharing learning, speaking clearly, etc.

Communication is key to our student's success!! We look forward to working with them on this important skill this month!

Don't forget to spring forward an hour on Sunday, March 9th. Can't wait to have a little more daylight in the evenings!!

Spring Individual and Class pictures will be on Friday, March 21st! Can't wait to see all those smiles!!😆

We will be having our STEM night on Thursday, April 3rd! Save the date! More information will be sent home soon. It's always a free, fun evening with our families doing science, technology, engineering, and math!! Hope to see you all there!

Our third annual Spring Fling will be Friday, May 2nd! We are beginning to plan for this big event and we hope you will plan to join us!!
