April 2025
Klenk Families,
As we embark on the final quarter of the school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on all that our students have accomplished and look ahead to the important milestones in the weeks to come.
Celebrating Growth and Achievement
This year, our students have demonstrated tremendous growth, both academically and personally. From mastering challenging math concepts to crafting thoughtful extended constructed responses (ECRs), they have shown resilience and a commitment to learning. Our teachers have worked tirelessly to provide engaging lessons, and your support at home has made a world of difference. Together, we are building a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
State Assessments: An Opportunity to Shine
The upcoming STAAR is an opportunity for our students to showcase all they have learned this year. We encourage our students to approach the assessments with confidence, knowing they are well-prepared.
Here are some key details to keep in mind:
-
Testing Dates:
- Tuesday, April 15: Reading (Grades 3-5)
- Wednesday, April 23: Science (Grade 5)
- Wednesday, April 30: Math (Grades 3-5)
-
Preparation Tips: Encourage your child to get plenty of rest and arrive at school on time each testing day. Students are encouraged to leave their cell phones and backpacks at home.
As we navigate these important weeks, let’s continue to celebrate the incredible growth our students have achieved and the goals they are striving toward. Your partnership is essential in helping them feel supported and confident as they prepare for these assessments. If you have any questions or need additional resources to support your child, please don’t hesitate to reach out to their teacher
Thank you for your continued dedication to our school community. Let’s finish the year strong!
Gratefully,
Dr. Allie Martin
Principal
