SES Weekly Update!
December 9-13, 2024
Hello SES families! We can feel the excitement of Christmas building!
Loving Creator,
We asked for strength, and you gave us difficulties to make us strong.
We asked for wisdom, and you gave us problems to solve.
We asked for prosperity, and you gave us purpose and brains to use.
We asked for courage, and you gave us fears to overcome.
We asked for patience, and you gave us situations where we were forced to wait.
We asked for love, and you gave us troubled people to help.
We asked for justice, and you called us to be just and to lead with integrity.
Lord, we have received nothing that we asked for or wanted.
And yet, we received everything that we needed.
For this, we give thanks.
Dr. Colleen Hanycz

Sharing Tree, Gifts for Grandparents
For many people, the holidays can be challenging. Our Seton Family can help bring the joy of the holidays to kids and families through our "Seton Serves Sharing Tree" AND our "Gifts for Grandparents" service projects.
Check out the various ways you can offer support, if you are able.
Seton Serves Sharing Tree (in support of the Christmas Bureau) - P.J.'s and Puzzles!
By selecting a tag from our tree, you will be helping others experience and celebrate the love of the season. Please bring the unwrapped items (along with the tag) for drop-off at the school by December 16th. Please feel free to stop by the school to select a tag OR let your classroom teacher know if you would like your child to select one.
Gifts for Grandparents!
You can also offer support by donating "Gifts for Grandparents". Some gift ideas are: lightweight blankets, boxes of cookies, chocolates, candy (including diabetic-friendly options), crackers, large print word search/crossword puzzles (with pens), or grocery store gift cards. Please bring these donations in by December 11th.
St. Mary's, Sacred Heart Parish Sacraments
Sacraments are physical signs of God's grace living through us. They are a direct link between our physical lives and the divine.
St. Mary's Parish will be offering sessions for any children or families interested in furthering their sacramental journey. If you are wondering about Baptism, Eucharist, or Reconciliation, please check with St. Mary's Parish at 403-347-3114, Sacred Heart Parish at 403-346-2618, or contact the school and we will help you however we can!
Parent Visitors
To maintain a safe and secure school building we ask that all visitors report to the main office. If you need to drop off something for your child, please leave it at the main office and we will ensure that the item gets to the student. All volunteers in the building are required to have previously submitted approved documentation. Thank you for your understanding.
New Messaging System!
Our office has moved to a new Messaging system for attendance alerts and messages (formerly SwiftReach). The new system has recently been updated with texting abilities! To opt-in, please see the attached information HERE! We will still be sending information via email as well, so be sure to check for messages from the following address:
broadcasts@schoolmessengermail.com.
We appreciate your patience as we transition to this new division-wide messaging system.
Thank you!
Your Feedback Matters!
We welcome any feedback you can give us to help us do the best we can to serve your children! If you have questions, kudos, concerns, even cries of outrage, we encourage you to voice your opinion using this form. We will do our best to respond to your feedback!
