A Message from the Principal
Hard Copies of Home Learning Packets are available to pick up at SJHS during weekly food distribution times - Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 - 10:30. We will not be checking out additional Chromebooks. If you were not able to check out a Chromebook, you can do the hard copy packets or you can access our on-line tools from a personal device. The assignments address critical standards identified by the Alabama State Department of Education. Encourage your student to work an hour a day and keep learning during this break.
YOUR TEACHERS ARE AVAILABLE TO PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANCE! WHILE WE ARE ALL WORKING FROM HOME, WE HAVE DEDICATED OFFICE HOURS TO CONNECT WITH STUDENTS. MONDAY - FRIDAY FROM 11 - 2.
Students can turn in completed hard copies of packets during food distribution times.
All assignments should be completed by May 4. This will allow teachers time to review, assess the learning, and provide feedback. These are not normal circumstances, please be patient as we work through this together.
Our building is officially closed. If you need to reach faculty or staff, email is the quickest method. If you would like to have one of us call you, then please call the SCS Board of Education at 256.383.0400 between 10:00 -2:00. Someone will take a message and send it to us. Remember, teachers are calling from different numbers.
While we are out of school Mrs. Wieseman will send weekly updates and reminders.

Time to Re-Enroll Your Student !
2020-2021 Re-Enrollment
Remember, do not click "New Student", you are re-enrolling an existing student. Do not "add" a student. If you "add" your student and your student already has an account, this will end up causing multiple accounts for your student.
You will use the same login information that you used last year. Once you have logged in you should see your student"s name listed. Click on your student's name and follow the directions. Your student's name will be listed with the grade level they are currently in. You will need two proofs of residence. This needs to be your utility bill and one other bill showing your current address.
Make sure you answer all questions. When you get to the contacts make sure that parents/guardians are listed as "allowed to check-out" your student. Add any one that will be allowed to check your student out. It is very important that you make sure your email address is up to date and current. This is a very important source of communication between you as a parent/guardian and our school.
When your get to the end of the re-enrollment process, if you have skipped any question or needed information, the system will take you back. When all needed information is entered correctly you will be told that your "registration is complete". Within a few days you should get an email saying that your student is "verified". Your student is not successfully re-enrolled unless you receive the "verified" email.
