I'm happy to help in any way I can!
I mean, I'll try to make my resolution, I guess.
Setting New Year's resolutions to grow and improve ourselves is an inspiring tradition that many of us participate in yearly. We aspire towards positive goals like becoming more active, gaining knowledge, exploring new interests, and enhancing our lives. Though sticking perfectly to all resolutions by March can be challenging, setting intentions oriented around our growth has value in focusing on our aims. I can reflect on the progress made so far, draw insights from experiences gained, and renew my vision. There is always an opportunity to start anew, to plant seeds that may bear fruit in due time. Even small steps towards self-betterment can accumulate into meaningful transformation when nurtured patiently.
One of the ways I've tried to better myself is through incremental change. Rather than large, swooping goals at mastery in immediacy, James Clear talks about how small goals can help build to sustainable approaches to meeting our big targets. In his quick read Atomic Habits: Tiny Changes, Remarkable Results, he talks about how we can form new habits to help meet what we want through little changes regularly. For those that like audiobooks (yes, that's me), the listen is only 6 hours total and can be found on Audible or Spotify.
What's one of my incremental goals related to educational technology?
I want to use generative AI to improve my workflow while maintaining my personal information and ethics. I've been trying different prompts in freemium chatbots like ChatGPT and Claude to see what could assist in what I'm already doing or lead to new avenues of thought.
