Good evening, Waters Landing community,
Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 6:45-8:00pm is Back to School Night. This year will be a very different experience than previous years. Students are welcome to attend with their parents. Please come out and meet all of your child's teachers, as well as other WLES staff members responsible for Art, Counseling, English Language Development, Health, Math, Media, Music, Physical Education, Reading, Science, Social Studies, Special Education and Writing. Community partners will be onsite for families to learn more about them, including after school club providers for club registration. This year we are adding additional after school clubs in which students in all grade levels can participate. Our PTA will be accepting nominees for officers for this school year, as well as committee members to assist with our school events. Upon arrival, you'll receive a scavenger hunt form to complete so that you don't miss anything. There will also be food trucks available for you to purchase dinner or a snack. Staff members will be forwarding presentations and information to each family after the event, so even if you are unable to attend, you will still receive information. We will be asking for your feedback, so we know how to improve the event for next year. We hope to see you there!
Car rider families, we need your help. Please remember to display your child's car rider number where WLES staff can see it when you enter the car circle. Families are coming without knowledge of their students' numbers, which is slowing down the process. If you don't have the car tag with you, please write your child's number on a piece of paper. Staff need to be able to see the number so they can quickly record which parents are in line. Thank you for your assistance with helping us improve this process.
