A Special thank you to the Edwards Family and the 5th Grade Party committee for throwing an EPIC 5th grade party. The kids and adults had an amazing time.

Michigan weather is constantly changing each day. Please make sure your child has the proper attire for outdoor play. We go outside every day for students to enjoy the fresh air. If you are in need of resources as we approach the winter months please don't hesitate to reach out to Taneia.

Picture Retake Day is scheduled for November 19th, 2024.

Wixom has a long tradition of supporting families for the Holidays. This year, we want to provide families with Holiday support by collecting gift cards from various stores to give to families so they can shop for their children and feel a sense of excitement and support. The Snow Angels Program provides us with the opportunity to help make the holidays special.

It is as simple as the following steps:

1. While you are out shopping pick up a gift card for any increment. (Target, Walmart, Meijer, Kroger)

2. Drop the gift cards off at Wixom by December 9th.

3. The week of December 9th families will be contacted to pick up gift cards.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS! It is time to submit your Reflections entry this year. The National PTA Reflections theme for the 2024-25 school year is "Accepting Imperfections”.

You may only enter ONE piece per the following art categories you qualify for:

• Dance Choreography

• Film Production

• Literature

• Music Composition

• Photography

• Visual Arts (2D and 3D)

Only new and original works of art will be accepted. All entries are due by: November 12, 2024

Submit:

• Original artwork to school

• Entry Form: Wixom Reflections Entry Form

• Consent Form: PTA Reflections Consent Form

PTA Meeting

Our next PTA Meeting of the year is WEDNESDAY, November 6th at 6:00 PM. All members of the PTA are welcome to attend. The meeting will be held in person in the Media Center. Childcare will be available. We will also offer a virtual option.

Meet your friends at Bonaventure Skating (24505 Halsted Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48335) from 6:00-8:30 PM on Friday, November 8th for a private skate party! Admission and skate rental is $12. There are pizza deals and playplace tickets available for purchase at the door. November’s Theme is Pink Out!

Looking for an easy way to support our school? Shop for groceries at Kroger and they will contribute money to our PTA. It’s easy to sign up in the Kroger App:

1. Click the three horizontal lines in the upper right corner

2. Choose “Rewards”

3. Choose “Community Rewards”

4. Search for “Wixom Elementary PTA” and enroll

In addition to receiving phone calls and email notifications from the school district in the event of a school closing or emergency, parents can also sign up to receive SMS Text messages.

If you do not have access to a computer at home for your child to use for iReady lessons,

please contact the school and we may be able to let you borrow a Chromebook. We have a limited number of Chromebooks available for students to borrow for the year.
