The students are working so hard to prepare for our upcoming ACAP and end of year testing. We have woven just enough fun into their days to help maintain a balanced school day. We are so excited to see the gains that our students have made. If your student says that they don't have homework, then please have them read at least 20 minutes. Remember that testing begins the week AFTER spring break on April 1ST. Please make sure students are getting plenty of rest and balanced meals on testing days. We believe that our students are the very best and cannot wait for them to 'SHOW WHAT THEY KNOW"!

We will begin ACAP testing for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade AFTER Spring Break on April 1ST. Please make sure students are well rested and have a good breakfast. Please don't bring any electronic devices these days. We ask that you also encourage your students to do their very best and "show us what they know". Thank you for being their biggest fans because your encouragement goes a long way! Remember that 3rd graders will be retained if they don't pass the ACAP so it is vital that these students take it seriously.

Attendance is very important. Because of this, we have decided to reward those classes that have perfect attendance over the coming weeks. The classroom(s) with the highest number of weekly perfect attendances will receive a popsicle party. Please help your students get to school so they can help their classroom win!

Empathy is one of the hardest character traits to teach and explain to elementary students. Putting yourself in someone else's shoes is often difficult for our young ones. There are many students who come to school every day with various degrees of hurt and sadness. The more we can teach our students to practice empathy the better overall our school climate and culture will be. The video and article below give students a brief explanation of empathy and how they can practice it.
