You voted, and with more than 800 votes received, the Hedgesville school community overwhelmingly chose the Eaglets as the mascot for Hedgesville Learning Center, our district's newest dedicated Pre-K center! Here's a breakdown of the final vote:
- Eaglets: 522 votes
- Hedgehogs: 277 votes
- Suns: 23 votes
Now that we have a mascot, we are inviting students to put their artistic abilities on display by helping us create the school's new logo! Participating in this fun summer assignment is completely voluntary, and we are accepting submissions from now until August 1. Please review the contest rules and regulations below for more information.
- Participants must be a CURRENT Berkeley County Schools student (in-person or virtual) in Grades K-12 for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
- Participants must attend one of the following schools: Hedgesville Elementary School, Tomahawk Intermediate School, Hedgesville Middle School, or Hedgesville High School. If you are a virtual school student, your home school must also be one of those four schools.
- The mascot for HLC is the Eaglets. Entries must also resemble a circle and contain the words "Hedgesville Learning Center." Please note the example in the thumbnail.
- Entries must be original and the intellectual property of the person designing it. Trademarked and/or copyrighted material will not be accepted.
- Entires MUST include the following information:
- Student Name
- Parent/Caregiver Name (if student is under the age of 18)
- School
- Grade
- Best Contact Phone Number
- Email Address (if applicable)
