There will be a meeting for all band parents/students on Tuesday, October 29 at 5:30. It is important for all students who are going to state and their parents to be at this meeting. Travel information and expectations will be covered. Anyone who is unable to attend must contact Selah Kjar to receive the necessary information prior to the trip.

It's time for the annual FCCLA Trick or Treat for Rehab. On Monday, October 28 from 5:30-8:00 pm, our FCCLA members will be trick or treating for donations to support the West Texas Rehab.

The Texas Wildlife Association will be on campus presenting science lessons for K-5th grade on October 30. This will be their 3rd week in a row to present these great lessons to our students.

TUESDAY--TEAM UP AGAINST DRUGS: WEAR YOUR FAVORITE TEAM JERSEY

WEDNESDAY--THERE'S NO RHYME OR REASON TO DO DRUGS--FIND A PARTNER AND DRESS IN RHYMING COSTUMES.

examples: FBI/Butterfly; Candy corn/Unicorn; Frog/Dog; Barbie Doll/Football

THURSDAY--WE'RE NOT AFRAID TO SAY NO TO DRUGS: WEAR YOUR HALLOWEEN COSTUME

No blood, gore, or scary costumes please. Masks may not be worn inside the building.

FRIDAY--WE'RE GROWING UP DRUG FREE--Dress as a senior citizen.

Friday night will be Senior Night at the football game. Before the game, we will be recognizing our seniors who are currently participating in band and football.

Tuesday, October 29--VG basketball scrimmage 6:00 at Eden.

Thursday, October 31--JH football @Nueces Canyon 5:00

Friday, November 1--Varsity football vs Nueces Canyon in Eden 7:00 SENIOR NIGHT

Saturday, November 2--VG Basketball @TLCA 10:00.

Friday, November 1 will be the end of 3 weeks in this grading period. We will be doing a grade check for eligibility.

The National Honor Society will be inducting new members on Tuesday, October 29 at 3:30 in the cafetorium.

Red Ribbon Week will be October 29--November 1.

Dress up days for Red Ribbon Week:

October 29--Team up against drugs--Wear your favorite team jersey

October 30--There's no rhyme or reason to do drugs--Rhyme without Reason dress up (find a friend and dress as rhymes such as a napper and a rapper; Barbie and Safari; Egyptian Pharoah and Jack Sparrow).

October 31--We're not afraid to say no to drugs--Halloween costumes (no masks, no bloody or gory costumes, no weapons.)

November 1--We are growing up drug free--Dress as a senior citizen (Also senior night at the football game).

ALL COSTUMES MUST STILL BE SCHOOL APPROPRIATE.
