RLA

Students will identify the topic and central idea of a book.

Students will identify the stories point of view

Students will retell events and identify characters in a story.

Sight Words

First graders need to know an assortment of sight words to help them read. By the end of the school year, our students should know the 1st 100 Fry sight words.

This week we will focus on the words: among and almost.

Spelling

Spelling words: sunset, habit, napkin, publish, robot, donut, begin, dentist, humid, program

Handwriting and Writing

Students will write a procedural text.

Students will write complete sentences.

Math

Students will subtract 8 and 9 from teen numbers.
