#ReadHarder Challenge 2019: Mustangs vs. Bears
We challenge all Mustang teachers and students to Read Harder in the Fall of 2019!
Prizes given out weekly! Read to win!!!
We will be competing for most books read against our rivals, the Edison Bears. Weekly progress will be shared between the two schools. The winning school will host a party for participants in December.
Choose a book that is / has:
- Two Word Title
- Published within the Last Two Years
- Poetry Collection
- Now a Motion Picture
- Based on a True Story
- Book / Author from Another Country
- By / About a Woman
- Inspired by Mythology / Fairytales / Folklore
- Art / Manga / Comic / Picture Book
- Jefferson / Edison / High / School / Library in title
Advanced:

- Published the Year YOU were Born
- Outside your Favorite Genre
- Add your Own Category
Share your progress in the library or with a participating teacher to win! Raffle entry for every book read. Every book read helps us BEAT the BEARS!

SAISD Foundation Works for Us All!
In October, Mini-Grants of up to $500 are a great way to supplement items for your classroom or program and are awarded.
Innovative Grants of up to $5000 are usually due in February and awarded in August. Check the SAISD Foundation website/social media to see the excitement as teachers receive awards daily.
All of these grant programs are straight forward and designed to put funds where and when they are needed. Please consider donating anytime here or during the United Way Giving Drive next month.
