Galbraith Wins ASASP Presidency!

ASASP Family,

Please welcome the newest member of the Association of Supervisory and Administrative School Personnel Board of Directors, Mr. Brian Galbraith. He was nominated, accepted the nomination and ran unopposed. As a result of no opposition or competition in the presidential election process, he is officially our new president.

President Galbraith is currently the principal of Cherokee Lane Elementary School in Adelphi. He is an eighteen year veteran of Prince George's County Public Schools since he and his young family moved here in 2006. Mr. Galbraith came to Maryland from Clark County Public Schools in Las Vegas, where he served a teacher and an administrator.

Mr. Galbraith has served PGCPS as an Assistant Principal at G. James Gholson, Samuel Massey and as Principal at Carrollton Elementary and Cherokee Lane. Outside of the schoolhouse Mr. Galbraith worked in Title One as an Instructional Specialist and also the School Improvement Office "DataWise."

In January of 2024 Mr. Galbraith will take his seat as the newly elected president and begin presiding over the Board meetings.

You should have received your ballot to vote for a new vice president around 6pm yesterday in your personal email. The election began yesterday and will end on next Thursday, December 21, 2023 at noon. Let your voice be heard loud and clearly. Get that ballot and VOTE....VOTE....VOTE.........
