General Things to Know!
- After School Events This Week (PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THESE PRACTICES ARE VERY IMPORTANT FOR OUR SUCCESS AS AN ORGANIZATION!)
- Tuesday, October 28 (3:30-5:00 PM) - Marching Band Practice
- Wednesday, October 23 (3:30-5:00 PM) - Drumline Practice
- Thursday, October 24 - NO PRACTICE - HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
- Friday, October 25 - Home Game vs. Glenn (SENIOR NIGHT)
- There are outstanding fees for marching band, concert attire, and our New York trip. These fees must be paid as soon as possible. On November 1st, outstanding fees for Marching Band and Concert Attire will be submitted to the DCHS Financial Officer.
- We need student volunteers to help sell concessions at Paws in the Park (held at Tanglewood Park).

Thank you to our Dewey's clean-up and fix-it crew who got the store in shape Sunday afternoon! Parents, please sign up for several shifts on SignUp Genius for Dewey's! This is our most important fundraiser of the year and it takes the whole village. Stay tuned for details of volunteer training and appreciation weekend November 16th and 17th.

I hope everyone is having a great week. Marching band folks, I hope you are exciting for Senior Night this Friday! Let's make it a great night as we celebrate our seniors and wrap up a fantastic marching band season. Also, I hope everyone is super excited as we move into our huge Dewey's fundraiser. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, so we will need all hands on deck. Please sign up for as many slots as you can!! Thank you to the parents and families who continue to give amazing efforts to better this program! - Silas

Wow! What a fantastic concert! Congratulations to all the members of the band program for putting in the effort to help their band sound the best that it can be. As far as announcements go, our annual Dewey's Store is right around the corner; sign up for a volunteer slot or two and attend the volunteer training coming soon! - Sean
Volunteer Opportunities
We have a few opportunities for volunteers. These include:
- Booster Committees
- Fundraising Committee
- Concert Decoration Committee
- Year End Banquet Committee
- All District Auditions Committee
- Bus Chaperones (2) - Ride the buses to Away Football Games. This includes a free ticket to away games.
Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble Updates (Band Classes)
Class Reminders
The next playing test that is due is due on November 3. If you have a Symphonic Band or Wind Ensemble student, you should hear Concert C Major. If you have a Concert Band student you should hear Octave Scale Pattern pages. Please encourage your child to play for you.

- Marching Band Fees are now past due. Please remit payment via Quickbooks, cash or check (Made out to Davie Band Boosters).

10:30 PM - Anticipated End of Game
11:00 PM - Equipment Put Away/Dismissal
All things must be put away before anyone leaves.
Students need to wear their gray band shirt OR black band shirt, black athletic shorts, and tall black socks. Letter Jackets and hoodies (black or orange) are appropriate. We will be in full uniform.
Dinner will be Chicken Alfredo, Pasta with Meat Sauce, Salad, and Rolls. Dessert will be cake.
