Childhood

Crystal Gayle was born on January 9, 1951. Before her name was Crystal Gayle her given name was Brenda Gayle Webb. When her future famous sister Loretta Lynn left, her family moved to Wabash Indiana. When Crystal Gayle was 4 she started singing along with country and pop songs. Crystal learned guitar and started performing folk songs in High School.

Becoming Famous

Crystals first song was " I've cried the blues right of my eyes" Her song reached the top 40's country songs. In 1982 she did a duet with Eddie Rabbit called " You and I " Now it is used as a popular wedding song.

She was known for her floor length brown hair and sparkling blue eyes. She was was voted one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world in 1983. Also she owns her own shop in Brentwood TN called Crystals.
