Sydney Anderson
I am Sydney Anderson. I grew up just outside of Geneva and graduated from Fillmore Central in 2018. I went on to play softball in college at UNO and Hastings College. I graduated from Hastings College in May of 2023. I spent the last year teaching math at North Platte High School as well as being an assistant coach of their softball team. I will be getting married this summer and am excited to be moving back home.
I am looking forward to contributing to the success of the school and programs that influenced me to become who I am today. I am also excited to teach in the same district as my mom who is currently a 2nd grade teacher at FCES. Impacting lives in a positive way has always been a goal of mine, and getting the opportunity to do it at home is super special.
Brittany Becker
Hi Panthers! My name is Mrs. Becker. I am looking forward to moving back near my husband’s hometown and joining the supportive Fillmore Central Community this fall as one of the Special Education teachers at the middle school. This will be my 15th year in education. Previously I taught math, worked in special education and most recently in high school athletics. I have a passion for helping students discover their potential and reach their goals.
Making memories in every aspect of my life is important to me. Outside of school you will find me spending time with my husband, Roger, and our young son, Paxton. Sports, especially volleyball, are a big part of my life. I’m excited to continue my coaching career at the middle school this year. My family and I enjoy asparagus hunting, barbecue competitions and of course, Husker games.
Fun fact: I was born in England!
Morgan Segner
I grew up on a small farm near Hebron, Nebraska and graduated from Thayer Central High School. My husband Jared, and our two boys Kamden (4) and Paxton (1) currently live in Cordova. I graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln with my Bachelors Degree in Agriculture Education and have been teaching at Shelby-Rising City for the past 6 years. Teaching 7th and 8th Grade English will be a new adventure for me but I am looking forward to the challenge and broadening my horizons!
I am really looking forward to building new relationships with my students in the classroom and working with some amazing colleagues. I am excited to be in a community that is closer to my home and my boys! I know that Fillmore Central will be a great place to spread my wings and try something new.
McKenzie Scheil
I am a recent graduate from Wayne State College, where I earned my masters and my undergraduate degree. I was on the Wayne State Track and Field Team for 5 years. My favorite event was the hammer throw! I spoil my two dogs endlessly, their names are Nyxx and Dash.
I graduated from Fillmore Central in 2017, so I am very excited to return to the community that I grew up in. I look forward to meeting students and working closely with their families and the community. I can’t wait to work alongside some of the same teachers who taught me and helped me grow and become the person I am today.
In my free time I enjoy reading, riding motorcycles, and hanging out with my friends and family and the dogs.
