April, 2025 -- A Message from Principal Augmon:
Collins Hill Families,
Collins Hill had some major wins in the month of March!
Congratulations to the following students that have qualified to be finalists in the GA Governor’s Honors Program: Andalib Akram for German and Amanda Lloyd for Communicative Arts. Serina Uchimaki and Janelle Kim both earned Honorable Mention status in their events.
We had five wrestlers named as NWCA Academic All American for 2024-25 season: Sky Day (9th), Seth Thomas (9th), Elias St. Mary (9th), Dylan Alvarado (11th), and Alex Jiang (12th).
Congratulations also go out to Gavin Ownbey who was recently named the grand prize winner for the “Manufacture Your EarSketch Competition” at GA Tech and to Arnaldo Lopez-Rivera who was named a runner up in the competition. Congratulations also goes to our Boys Track & Field team for a strong finish at the Gwinnett County Championship! The boys finished 3rd overall.
This week is our last week of instruction before Spring Break. Please be mindful of attendance this week so that students do not miss out on important instruction. When we resume classes on April it will be CRUNCH TIME! We will have 5 weeks of instruction left and then exams. Every day counts and students need to attend daily and to arrive on time to each class. Parent can support their students by checking grades, discipline, and attendance via the Parent Square App. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to your student’s grade level Assistant Principal or School Counselor.
Have a wonderful break!
Go Eagles!
