3rd Grade Winter Concert for 3rd Grade Families - Wednesday, January 15 at 5:30 pm in the gym

I was going to change the PreK/K/rooms 4 & 6 drop off and pick up routines to our "winter" plans, but after looking at the extended forecast and not seeing any snow or weather events coming up, I'm going to postpone this change. We are going to continue with our usual morning arrival and dismissal of students until further notice. If you have any questions, please call the office at 941-6300.

If you have a child who will be ready for PreK or Kindergarten next year, please come to Vine Street and register them on Tuesday, February, 4, 2025 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. If you know anyone who lives in Bangor and has a child who might be of PreK/Kindergarten age, please share this information with them! See details below.

3rd grade students will be taking the State assessments in math and reading once again on Tuesday, January 28th and Wednesday, January 29th. These assessments begin at 9:15 am each day. Please make sure your 3rd grade student is well-rested, has breakfast, and arrives to school on time to set them up for success! Also, please try to not schedule appointments those days for your child. Your support is greatly appreciated!

The PreK program is strongly oriented toward building literacy skills and promoting positive social interactions in a classroom setting. This program is for children who are 4 years old on or before October 15, 2025. Students will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. However, all PreK students need to complete a PreK screening, which will be offered at multiple times throughout the summer. PreK students will need the PreK screening in order to be enrolled in school. Students not screened by the last screening in August will forfeit their classroom spot. Enrollment is limited.

Kindergarten is for children 5 years old on or before October 15, 2025. Please bring the child’s original birth certificate, immunization record, and two proofs of residency (driver’s license, utility bill, tax bill, etc.) with you on February 4 or 6, 2025. Children should NOT accompany their parents/guardians at the time of registration. Student orientation will be held on another date. If you are unable to register on the date listed, please contact the school where your child will be attending by February 6, 2025.
