The Puma Pulse Family Newsletter
May 12, 2024
Dear Prairie Community,
We are thrilled to invite our families to join us for our upcoming Kermes on May 17th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Our students have been hard at work this week and last, learning dance routines with the FORXA Dance Academy instructor. Now, they're eager to showcase their skills during special performances at the event. PTA will have delicious food available for purchase. We can't wait to see you there and share in the joy of our community coming together. Save the date, bring your family, and let's make memories together!
We will send out the dancing schedule for Kermes. We ask that girls wear all black to the performance and boys wear black bottoms with white top.
May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The term AAPI includes people from all Asian countries and the areas of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia in Oceania. Join us in celebrating the contributions Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have made to the United States and the world.
We will be pausing state testing this week. Next week, students in 3rd-6th grades will take the SBAC Math test.
The last student store will be May 28th to June 3rd. This will be the last opportunity for students to spend their Golden Tickets. Tickets awarded this school year will not be valid for the 2024-2025 school year.

Anali Hadley: A Fond Farewell and Best Wishes for the Future
As we say goodbye to a cherished member of our team, Anali Hadley, we reflect on the incredible impact she has made during her two years as Prairie's administrative clerk. Anali's warm demeanor and exceptional customer service skills have endeared her to students, staff, and families alike. Her unwavering dedication to greeting everyone with a smile and her tireless efforts in helping others have truly made a difference in our community.
Anali's bilingual abilities have bridged communication gaps and enriched our interactions, fostering inclusivity and understanding. Her solution-oriented approach and willingness to go above and beyond have been invaluable assets to our team.
While we are saddened to say goodbye, we are also excited for Anali as she embarks on a new journey as the Administrative Secretary for the WJUSD State Preschool. We have no doubt that she will bring the same level of dedication and passion to her new role, positively impacting the lives of many.
We invite all families to join us in expressing our deepest gratitude to Anali this week as we bid her farewell. Let us come together to celebrate her contributions and wish her the very best in her future endeavors.
Anali, you will be deeply missed, but your legacy of kindness and service will continue to inspire us all. Thank you for everything you have done for our community!
With heartfelt appreciation,
The Prairie Community
