MES - Halloween Update

The parade will start out the front doors of the building at 1:30pm. The parade will go in age order from Young 5's to Fifth Grade. The students will walk Gayle's Trail heading east towards the playground and around. Young 5's and Kindergarten will only walk half the trail. The rest of the grades will walk the full trail. Pre-school and GSRP will not be participating in the parade.

Please DO NOT:

- Stand on the walking trail.

- Stop your children to take pictures because they may lose their class.

- Take children after the parade is over. Parties will be in their classrooms afterwards.

Usually there is a great deal of pick-ups due to Halloween costumes and Halloween plans. For Halloween, if you plan to pick-up your child after school, please reach out as soon as you can before 3:30pm on Wednesday, October 30th. On Halloween, the elementary office will not be taking any changes after 1:00pm and parents will not be able to come into the office to pick-up kids after 2:00pm. Thanks in advance for helping our bus drivers and Mrs. Bell.

Parents/Guardians will not be allowed to attend classroom parties. Early sign-outs will still be considered a half-day absence. Parties are for the students and the teachers.

Just a reminder about the Halloween Community Meal that will be offered on Gayle's Trail after school, but before Trick or Treating.

If the Marlette Elementary School parking lot is full, please park in the old Bea McDonald parking lot located on the south end of the football field. Please do not create parking spots at the elementary, it is not safe for our students and staff.

As of Monday morning, the forecast for Halloween is cloudy with a chance of showers with a high of 66 and a low of 42. Please make sure to dress your children appropriately for the temps.

If weather does not cooperate for the parade, Marlette Elementary will use social media to notify parents/guardians of an indoor parade. The parade will go through the school's gymnasium and cafeteria and back to the classrooms. Parents will not be allowed to go down to their child's classroom.

If students wear a Halloween mask for school, it is not allowed to be worn on the bus.
