This past week was Assistant Principals week. AHS is blessed to have three GREAT Assistant Principals who Love and Support our students and the AHS Community!! Thank you for all you do.

This week, we have several spring sports activities. Please come out and support our students.

On Friday, April 18, students will not attend. It is a Teacher workday.

• Senior Extravaganza is on Monday, April 21, @ 6:00 p.m. in the AHS Gymnasium. (Invitations were sent out Friday.)
• Junior Awards Day is on Monday, April 21, @ 8:45 a.m. in the AHS Auditorium.
• Sophomore Awards Days is on Monday, April 21, @ 9:45 a.m. in the AHS Auditorium.

• Would you like to be a part of a FREE week-long residential summer program for high school juniors graduating in 2026?

• Would you like to learn about HBCU and HBCC institutions, college admission, financial aid, and scholarship resources?
• If so, check out the attached information about the SOAR program at Alabama State University!

• See your counselor for more information. The application deadline is April 18, 2025.

• Ambassadors will have a mandatory meeting on Monday, April 14th, during Ahop in room A102.

Attention Seniors,

• Craft Academy is sharing an excellent no-cost opportunity for your graduating seniors.
• Craft Academy is offering an adult program from June 2nd- June 27th for graduating seniors who are interested in a career opportunity in commercial construction.
• Applications are due May 23rd, with interviews for admission into the course May 26th- 28th.

• Students who complete the 4 weeks of training will have the opportunity to interview with our business and industry partners.
