The Mustang Minute
June 7, 2024- Issue 32
The End is Coming!
With 9 school days left we are coming down to end. Our grade 8 students have lots of events coming up with 6th and 7th also enjoying some end of year activities!
Grade 8 Dance
Tonight is the grade 8 Dance - permission's slips had to be turned in prior to the dance to attend. The dance ends at 8:30pm, please be on time for pick-up!
Grade 8 Promotion
Next Friday is the Grade 8 promotion. Parking will be the biggest challenge due to reduced lot sizes. If there are opportunities to carpool or walk, we would appreciate it. The promotion ceremony is at the Little League field located behind the auditorium parking lot. We will leave the entire lot next to the auditorium available for parent parking. Please do not park in the staff lot. There are a couple of accessible spaces near the field, please email me if wheelchair accessibility is needed and we can make those accommodations.
For the ceremony, families may sit in the outfield past the baseline or in the stands. For the outfield you would need to bring lawn chairs. If it's sunny, be sure to consider sunscreen or shade as there is not much available around the field. If we have inclement weather (keeping my fingers crossed for beautiful sun) we will relocate to the auditorium.
If you plan to have younger siblings that attend CMS join, you will need to sign them out of school as they will leave school property. If you send them in with a note and the ceremony time, we can have them waiting for you.
If you plan to take your grade 8 student home with you, please send them in with a note that they will give to their homeroom teacher. If they do this, you DO NOT need to sign them out. If you do not send in a note, they will need to sign out with a teacher before leaving the field.
