JUNIOR INFORMATION NIGHT
Junior Students & Parents - On October 30th @ 6:00pm you and your students are invited to join us virtually for our Junior Night! This year we have a guest speaker, Aaron Cook - College Admission Representative, joining us to talk about essential things your student should be focusing on now to get prepared for Senior Year and the College Admission Process. We will also be discussing the new graduation requirements including how to earn the required MVA; Market Value Asset. A zoom link will be emailed out closer to the event date. If so, there are some NCAPS open houses coming up where you can learn more about the programs and talk to instructors and current students. MVA SPOTLIGHT
What is a MVA? Why is it important? MVA stands for Market Value Asset. Every LPS student is required to earn at least one during high school to graduate. You can go HERE to find out more details about MVAs. Each newsletter will focus on a MVA opportunity so you can gain valuable information to make the right decision for your future!
MVA Spotlight; Part-time Job! - Students who work 120 hours at a part-time work site can earn a MVA! You can go HERE to find the MVA work experience form you will need to turn in with signatures or stop by the Counseling Office and pick one up today!

LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Interested juniors are encouraged to apply to the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program. The Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present the 2025 Youth Leadership Program again this year. This four-month program - one day a month from January through April - connects high school juniors with business and civic leaders and organizations in the Northland community. Interested students can apply by returning the application found HERE by November 11 to the LHS Counseling Department!
ICAP AND COURSE SELECTION TIMELINE
Counselors are in the process of meeting with students to discuss their course plans. We want to give students as much time to think about their classes as possible before they submit their course requests for next year in January. COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Liberty Public School District is proud to bring back the Community Scholarship Program again this year! The Community Scholarship Program is a program designed to provide seniors in our community with over 35 scholarship opportunities in 3 easy steps. We have partnered with some amazing organizations that want to help our Liberty High School and Liberty North High School seniors advance their education. Scholarships will be available to students who want to attend college and trade schools. The application opens November 1, 2024. Click HERE for more information.
