Picture day is this Tuesday (9/10). Students will receive picture packets to bring home and fill out. Also, Leo's Photography offers online purchasing as well. Bring your best smile!
Back to School Night is Thursday
Back to School Night is this Thursday (9/12) from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Parents will begin in the main gym with a short welcome and then have the opportunity to walk through your child's schedule and meet their teachers. We are looking forward to seeing you all there!
Seeking Corporate Sponsors
Last year John L. Scott, Oral Surgery Plus, Gee Automotive, Boards by Brit, Lyte Balance, and Lee & Hayes were gracious enough to donate money to purchase t-shirts for every student at GMS. We are looking for more corporate sponsors to do that this year. If you, or someone you know, is interested please contact Brenda Truong at btruong@cvsd.org.
Gotcha Cart Donations
We are looking for your help! We use Gotcha Cards to recognize great student behavior. Periodically we bring out the Gotcha Cart for students to turn in their hard earned cards for great items. If you would like to donate money or items to this card you can do so in the main office at any time. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Athletics (Still Time to Sign Up)
Fall sports include cross country (6th, 7th, 8th), football (7th and 8th), and slow pitch softball (7th and 8th). Although practices have begun, students can sign up through this Thursday! Practices will take place from 2:45-4:45 p.m. each day. Please be sure to register for your child’s sport and make an online payment. Registration is now open. (Registration and Online Payment)
Bell Schedule
Students may arrive no earlier than 7:45 a.m. on M, T, W, and F and no earlier than 8:45 a.m. on Th. They will be released from school each day at 2:40 p.m. Thursday, September 5th will be a regular school day (8:10 a.m. start) as it is the first day of school! 2024-25 GMS Bell Schedule
PE/Health
Students in PE classes will have an assigned locker in the PE locker room. Also, students are required to purchase a PE uniform (t-shirt) that is $7. PE t-shirts will be distributed to students in PE class when the school year begins. It is not necessary to submit your child's t-shirt size. Payment for the t-shirts can be made in the main office or online. (Online Payment)
Lunch (Big News)
Lunch is FREE to all students at GMS this year! Students will have the option to go outside with supervision during the last 15 minutes of their assigned lunch period.
Breakfast (Big News)
Breakfast is FREE to all students at GMS this year! Students who choose to eat breakfast will go directly to the commons when they arrive at school, receive breakfast, and sit and eat at a table until class begins. Students who do not choose to eat breakfast will remain supervised outside on the south side of the building until the bell rings to go to class at 8:05 a.m. (Morning Breakfast Map)
