Western Parent Newsletter
March 2025 Edition
A Message from Dr. McChargue!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we welcome March, I want to take a moment to share some personal news. Beginning next school year, I will be transitioning to a new role at the district office. While I am excited about this opportunity to serve our students and schools in a different capacity, this move is bittersweet. Western Elementary has been my home, and serving as your principal has truly been one of the greatest joys and honors of my career.
Every day, I am inspired by our amazing students, dedicated staff, and supportive families. Watching our students grow and succeed has been such a privilege, and I will forever cherish the relationships and memories we have built together. I am, however, committed to finishing this school year strong and ensuring a smooth transition for our community.
I am also thrilled to announce that Ms. Kati Ferrell will be stepping into the role of principal for the 2025-2026 school year. Ms. Ferrell brings a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, and a heart for students that I know will be a perfect fit for Western Elementary. Over the coming months, we will work closely together to ensure a seamless transition, and I am confident that our school will continue to thrive under her leadership.
Thank you for allowing me the privilege of serving as your principal and for your continued support in making Western Elementary a place where students thrive. Be sure to check out the important dates and updates in this month’s newsletter—we don’t want you to miss a thing!
Much love,
Cheryl McChargue
