Marking Period Awards, Winter Sports, and Appreciation
Dear CCPS Families,
I am writing to update you on recent events within our school community and express my gratitude for your ongoing support.
I am pleased to announce that our recent award ceremonies for the second marking period were a resounding success. Seeing so many of our students recognized for their hard work, dedication, and achievements was inspiring. I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the honored students during these ceremonies. Your commitment to excellence is truly commendable.
Reflecting on these accomplishments, it's hard to believe that the third marking period interim is already upon us. Time flies, mainly when our students are engaged and focused on their studies. I encourage students and parents to prioritize academic success as we move forward into the remainder of the school year.
In addition to academic achievements, our winter sports season is also coming to a close. I commend our student-athletes, coaches, and supporters for their dedication and sportsmanship throughout the season. As we approach state competitions over the next week, I wish our teams the best of luck. Your hard work and determination have not gone unnoticed, and I am incredibly proud of all you have accomplished this season.
Finally, I sincerely appreciate your support during the recent discussions regarding our possible budgetary crisis for FY25. Your understanding and cooperation have been invaluable as we navigate these financial challenges together. Rest assured that we are committed to finding solutions that prioritize the well-being and success of our students while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
Thank you once again for your continued support and partnership. Together, we will overcome any obstacles that come our way and continue to provide the best possible educational experience for our students.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey A. Lawson, Ed.D.
