NATIONAL DAY FOR TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION, SEPTEMBER 30TH

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30 is to honour survivors, their families, and communities, and ensure a public commemoration of the history and legacy of residential schools. This day coincides with Orange Shirt Day, which carries a very important message: that every child matters. Our school division is honouring the day as a Statutory Holiday so the school will be closed on Monday, October 2nd.

As a school community, we will commemorate the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Friday, September 29th, and encourage all students and staff to wear orange on that day. We will begin our morning with prayers in the gym as a school community, any parents are invited to join us for the brief liturgy at 8:35 a.m. Throughout the day teachers will be reading literature and completing classroom activities around the theme of "Remembering the Children". We are also planning to complete a schoolwide mural with orange hearts about the theme.

Blessings for a wonderful week ahead,

Mrs. Lisa Kleparchuk, Principal

Mrs. Sheri Crowston, Vice Principal

    Terry Fox Run

We had fantastic weather to run the Terry Fox Run on Thursday, Sept. 21st for our annual Terry Fox Run. Mr. Kary led us through the warm-up and was the “pacer leader” on his bike. We had such a great fundraiser for the Terry Fox Foundation more than doubling our goal of $300 and raising $720 for our small school, our Grade 1/2 class raised $620 alone with one family raising $590!

We run for Terry because he taught us that Anything is Possible if you dream it!! Thank you to the staff who were on every corner/crosswalk cheering everyone on! We reflected on the people we were running for and kept them in our hearts the whole way! Way to go Titans!
