Dear Parents/Carers,
As we come to the end of the Spring Term, I would like to begin by sending my gratitude and thanks to our parents, carers and families for all your unwavering support. This Term has been such an exciting time for us and following our Ofsted Inspection, we are closing on a real high. Thank you for all of your kind messages and for supporting us with trips, attending our events and for your overall contributions to our whole school activities.
This week, I have received a letter from the DfE, (Regional Director for the Yorkshire & The Humber region, Alison Wilson), in recognition of our achievements - which was wonderful to receive. The local newspapers have also contacted our Trust Marketing Team requesting a press release. Please take a moment to read the DfE letter and watch out for the reports in the local press which are to be published shortly.
This Week
Year 5 & 6 Trip to Eden Camp
On Monday, Year 5 and 6 visited Eden Camp. The visit has greatly supported the pupils with their World War 2 unit of learning. I know that they had a great day and came back with additional knowledge to support their learning of this significant historical time.
EYFS Easter Bonnet Parade
On Tuesday, our youngest pupils paraded through school in their Easter bonnets. This is always such a lovely experience for the whole school. As always, the bonnets on show were spectacular and the pupils wore them with pride. Well done to the prize winners and thank you to all who took the time to make a bonnet. They were all fabulous!

Today, our Junior Leadership Team had the difficult job of choosing three winners from our Easter Egg Competition. The effort and skill from every entry was fantastic and I know this was a hard decision to make.
