School Hours:
Doors open at 7:30am.
Classes start at 7:45 am and dismisses at 3:15pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Students are dismissed at 2:00pm every Wednesday for early release.
Students must be in their classroom by 7:45am to avoid being tardy. If you are late, you need to sign in at the office and get a pass before going to class.

Audition Forms Are DUE TODAY!!
A Night of Music 2025 is coming soon and we are looking for acts for the show. You don't have to be in band or choir to participate; anyone is welcome. You just need to have music involved in your act in some way. This could be background music as you perform your special talent. Fill out the audition form linked here and return it to Ms. Birenbaum or Mrs. Fisher by Wednesday, February 12 to schedule an audition.
Student Council Hosts Hush Hearts
On February 14th, girls can pick up their hearts in the morning in the commons. Once a girl is wearing a heart, she may not speak to any boys. If a boy catches a girl talking to him while sheās wearing a heart, he can "steal" her heartāsimply ask her to hand it to you, donāt actually take it. Teachers will determine if the rules apply during class. Guys who āstealā several hearts should stop by the office during Fox Time to pick up a prize.
Wisconsin Business World Summer Camp
Our immersive four-day, three-night summer camps held on Wisconsin University and college campuses challenge students to innovate and lead as they create, build and run a business from the ground up. Through dynamic speakers, manufacturing tours and hands-on activities, students leave our camps with a better understanding of business principles, financial literacy and our economy.
UPDATE: Omro Youth Trap team
The Omro Youth Trap team is currently open to all 6th-12th grade youth from any community, with a registration fee of $60. Hunters' safety courses are scheduled for Omro youth interested in shooting trap. The final sign-up for trap and the team's first shooting night will be held on March 19, 2025, at Springbrook Sportsman Club in Omro from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The evening will start with a brief meeting from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m., followed by shooting practice. The team also uses TeamReach for communication, and the code is OYTrap2025, which is the most effective way to stay updated. Dress Closet
Oshkosh North High School will be hosting a Dress Closet event, offering a wonderful selection of free prom dresses, shoes, and jewelry for area high school students.
Here are the details:

- Closet Location: Oshkosh North High School, enter through door 7 and shop in the foyer.

OoMPA Chili Supper Tickets Are On Sale NOW!
Mark your calendars for Thursday, February 27- itās Chili Supper Night! From 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, head over to the High School Commons for an all-you-can-eat meal featuring chili or macaroni and cheese, breadsticks, and a beverage. You can also pre-order chili and crackers for two by visiting this link for a pick up and go meal. Want something sweet? Pie will be available for an extra charge! Tickets are now available at all school offices ā donāt miss out!
Family Literacy Night- Dive into Reading - Letās Go Under the Sea!
Family Literacy Night will be held at Omro Elementary School on Thursday, March 13th, 2025 from
5:30pm - 7:30pm.

Do you plan to go on vacation? Remember to pick up a pre-arranged absence form from the office!
College visit? You MUST have a pre-arranged absence form and you MUST provide proof that you attended your tour, such as a photo in front of that school's sign, a note on school letterhead, a photo of your sign in, etc...Please make sure you are following the correct procedure so that your absence is excused!

REMINDER: EXTRACURRICULAR ATTENDANCE POLICY - PRACTICE & COMPETITION
***Students must be in attendance for the entire school day in order to practice or compete in an event. ***
Special circumstances may merit exception with prior approval from the Principal/Dean of Students, or designee. To see if the absence can be approved:
- Step 1 - Parent/Guardian notification to office (Mrs. Prado, Mrs. Stadler or Mrs. Dobberstein) at least 24 hours prior to absence)
- Step 2 - If absence is approved, Student picks up signed Excused Slip from office
- Step 3 - Student gives signed Excused Slip to coach/advisor to participate the day of the absence
If an absence is deemed unexcused it will result in ineligibility for participation in extracurricular activities until the next full day of attendance.

STUDENTS: When meeting with Recruiters, THEY need to set up appointments to meet with you THROUGH GUIDANCE and during your study hall. Please do not just set something up on your own as we do not allow recruiters free access to students without going through the proper procedure.

American Essay Contest Submissions Due February 14!
The Americanism Essay Contest was created to teach students the value of patriotism and what it means to be Americans and to help promote a lifelong respect of our flag and country.
Essay Title: āWhat does America the Beautiful mean to me (regarding veterans and our military)?ā
Each year, the American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) sponsors an Americanism Essay Contest for students in grades 3-12, including students with special needs. Grade levels are divided into six classes.
In our effort to increase participation in the contest, we ask you to share this information with guidance counselors, English and history teachers or others whose students would be interested in participating.
All essays will be judged using the criteria and rubric provided. The decision of the judges shall be final. (See Scoring Rubric)
One award in each of the six classes will be presented. Winners will receive $10 from the Omro American Legion Auxiliary Unit 234. Winning entries will be forwarded to the ALA Department of WI for further competition.
Essays with the completed 2025 Submission Form must be submitted to the Omro American Legion Auxiliary Unit 234 by Friday February 14, 2025. Please mail to:

Summer Opportunity
The Omro Pool is hiring!! Applications for Lifeguard are due March 14, and April 11 for Front Desk. You must be 15 years old for Lifeguard and have completion of your CPR/AED by May 10. For Front Desk you need to be 14 years old. Applications can be dropped off or mailed to Omro City Hall by 4:30pm on the days specified.

Financial Aid Help
Do you have questions about financial aid or need help completing the FAFSA? Fox Valley Technical College is available to help! The outreach is open to anyone in the communities (FVTC bound or not) who needs assistance. Along with the regional outreach, they also provide FAFSA sessions in person. These sessions are offered every Thursday when the college is open from 9-6 in person at our main Appleton campus or every Tuesday when we are open from 9-6 at our Riverside campus in Oshkosh. School Board Cell Phone Policy
Cell Phone Reminders:
- You should NOT have your phones on you, on your desk or on your desk during class. You have 2 options: in your locker powered off, or in the wall pouches in the classroom; that's it.
- "Bell to Bell" means "Bell to Bell". Cellphones should not be picked up until you are leaving the classroom at the end of class.
- These expectations are NOT negotiable and are backed by the school board. Let's make sure we are following these expectations to avoid consequences that will follow, including but not limited to verbal warning, confiscation and detention/suspension.
