- Creative Writing Contest
A Note from the Office
Greene Families
On Tuesday, our band students rocked the Junior High with their first concert of the year (and enjoyed some ice cream afterwards)! All three of our performing musical groups filled the 800+ theather for each grade level performance--support for our musical program is one of the things that makes us special as a destination district.
Another one? Our Robotics program! On Saturday we had a number of teams compete at the Regional Qualifyer and TWO teams will move on to the next round: A8R's and Creative Cockatoos. All of the teams built and coded their robot to complete a series of missions while also researching and suggesting solutions to an authentic problem around the oceans AS WELL AS displaying their core values. What a great organization to be a part of!
Congratulations to our PBIS winners from last week: Kara Garten, LaToya Turney, Polina Popovych, Owen Wyse, Jimmy Salters, and Pablo Lopez- Sanchez. They were selected as part of a school wide raffle for students who were acknowledged for being Safe, Respectful, Responsible, or a Problem Solver. The next raffle will be in January!
With Winter Break comes the end of the quarter--your student should connect with their teacher if they have any questions. We have MAP testing this week to have a measure of progress in Reading and Math--see suggestions below. If your looking for some fun screen-free activities to do with your students over break, Check out these activities to do with kids when it's dark and cold this winter.
Thank you for your support of our teachers and staff as well as all of the great programming our district is able to offer!

If you have questions, concerns, or student specific testing needs, please reach out to your child’s team/teacher or the building test coordinator (Tricia Constable, Assistant Principal).
