Summer Bridge Programs 2025 (Grades K-12) Registration is now open!
Summer Bridge programs focus on helping students address academic challenges and continue to address achievement gaps.

Summer Bridge eligibility
- Elementary School Program is only for students who have demonstrated a need for extra support in reading based on state reading criteria. Schools have communicated to families if their students are eligible for this year’s Summer Bridge program.
Middle School Program is focused on credit recovery.
- High School Program concentrates on helping students meet graduation requirements.
Rising Kindergarten is for students registered for PCS kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year. The program is focused on preparing children for kindergarten.
Elementary and Middle Summer Bridge Dates: June 2–26, 2025
High School Summer Bridge Dates: June 16 - 26 and June 30 - July 10
Days: Monday - Thursday,
Time: 8 a.m. to noon

Summer Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) 2025!
Voluntary Prekindergarten for 4-year-olds (VPK) serves children who are 4 years of age on or before September 1 of the school year.
- Dates: June 2 through July 24 (Closed July 3 and July 4)
- Days: Monday - Friday
- Time: 8:30 am to 4:45 pm (except on July 24th, when the hours will be 8:30 am to 11:30 am)
- Location: Bette Ra Ivey Discovery Center located at 8570 66th Street N Pinellas Park, FL 33781
- Transportation: Not available for Summer VPK
- Breakfast, lunch and a snack will be provided daily.
To attend VPK, all students must have a Certificate of Eligibility (voucher) from the Early Learning Coalition. Please visit elcpinellas.org to apply for the voucher. Families must have the voucher at the time of enrollment at the school. For information about the Certificate of Eligibility, please call the Early Learning Coalition at (727) 400-4411.

Pinellas Summer 2025: Fun Reading Challenges & Activities with myON!
Dear Parents, this summer, students in Pre-K to Grade 5 can keep reading and learning with Renaissance myON! With thousands of engaging books and activities, they can strengthen literacy skills while having fun during summer. Plus, they have three chances to win great prizes during the June, July, and Final Challenges!
Students simply log into Clever and select Renaissance myON to get started.

Summer Driver Education Registration: APPLY NOW, LIMITED SEATS AVAILABLE!
🚗 Summer Driver Education 🚗
Limited spots available—first come, first served! Don’t miss the opportunity to gain essential driving skills and confidence on the road.
Applications are online only—no submissions accepted at school sites. Registration and payment are required to secure your spot. The $250 lab fee + service fee is non-refundable.
Eligibility: Students must be 15 or older and have a learner’s permit or operator’s license before the session begins.

🏫Free Back to School Health Clinics – Summer 2025
The Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County (DOH-Pinellas) is offering free school-based health clinics this summer to help students prepare for the 2025–26 school year. Services are available to students entering kindergarten through 12th grade.
🗓️ Clinic Dates: June 9 – August 7, 2025
🕗 Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
📍 Locations:
- Boca Ciega High School, St. Petersburg
- Gibbs High School, St. Petersburg
- Pinellas Park High School, Pinellas Park
🩺 Services Provided at No Cost:
The school-based health clinics will provide school, sports, and well-child physicals, along with other essential services at no cost to clients.
- Vision screenings will be available at select locations, provided by Preserve Vision Florida
- Basic dental services will be provided by DOH-Pinellas, including oral health assessments, hygiene education, sealants, fluoride treatments, and referrals
📞 Appointments required: Please call (727) 824-6900 and select option 4. A parent or guardian must bring the child’s medical records and be present for services.

Kindergarten Registration for the 2025-2026 School Year is Open!
Kindergarten serves children who are 5 years of age on or before September 1 of the school year.
Enrolling for kindergarten is easy:
1. Get a Pinellas County Schools User ID and Password (Focus Parent Portal Account). Parents can create a Focus Parent Portal Account at focus.pcsb.org
2. Reserve a Seat
Once you have your PCS User ID and Password, log onto focus.pcsb.org and access the Student Reservation System using your PCS user ID and password.
