Current Frankin Academy families that elected to have their child return to Franklin for the 25-26 school year must complete the registration process for their child. Without completing this process, parents/guardians will not have access to our PowerSchool resource fr the next school

year.

PowerSchool eCollect form titled Incoming 9th Grade Questionnaire has been created and published in the Parent/Guardian Portal for current 8th grade/MYP Y3 families (who have indicated that their child)will be attending Franklin Academy for their child's 9th grade). Please complete the brief, one-question form by Thursday May 1, 2025.

• Yes, I did my intent to return, but did not complete the course selection form.

• Yes, I did my intent to return but I'm undecided about attending Franklin Academy K-12.

• 4. Yes, I did my intent to return, but I will not be attending Franklin Academy K-12.

If you have not yet completed your service hour committment for the 24-25 school year, we are encouraging you to complete them by the end of May. We will have limited access to our campus during the month of June, due to the construction project taking place, and there are may not be service hour opportunities for you to complete your committment. We appreciate your understanding and support.

Grade 8/MYP Y3 students that took their graduation portrait on April 29, 2025, should have received a personalized proof sent to their family's email address (that we have on file), as well as a physical flyer that MYP Y3 Advisory teachers distributed on Thursday May 1, 2025. Parents/Guardians can simply scan the QR code they received,or visit www.fox-mar.com/proofs The password is their child's Broward County ID. Any questions? • Grades 4 and 5 students are scheduled to take their FAST Reading assessment on Monday May 5, 2025.

• Grades 4 and 5 students are scheduled to take their FAST Math assessment on Tuesday May 6, 2025.

• Grades 6, 7 and 8/MYP Y1, 2 and 3 students are scheduled to take their FAST Reading assessment on Wednesday May 7, 2025.

• Grade 3 students are scheduled to take their NWEA Reading assessment on Thursday May 8, 2025.

• Grade 5 students are scheduled to take their State Science assessment on Tuesday May 13, 2025.

• Eligible Grades 8/MYP Y3 students are scheduled to take their Biology EOC assessment on Tuesday May 13, 2025.

• Grade 3 students are scheduled to take their FAST Math assessment on Wednesday May 14, 2025.

• Grade 7/MYP Y2 students are scheduled to take their Civics assessment on Wednesday May 14, 2025.

• Eligible Grades 6, 7 and 8/MYP Y1, 2 and 3 students are scheduled to take their FAST Math, Algebra or Geometry assessment on Thursday May 15, 2025.

'checked out' from our Media Centers to avoid incurring late/missing item fees.

National Youth Violence Prevention Week is a week-long initiative aimed at raising awareness and educating students, staff, and the community on ways to prevent and reduce youth violence, and will end on May 2.

Together we must highlight the positive impact students can have in creating safer schools and communities—tied to the mission of Sandy Hook Promise.

• While 1 in 5 people will experience a mental illness during their lifetime, everyone faces challenges in life that can impact their mental health.

• BCPS is sharing valuable information, tips and resources to use during the month and year round.
