Dear Parents/Guardians,
It is hard to believe that fall is here and our first month of school is over. Sitting back and reflecting on how amazing September has been truly joyful.
Our staff’s focus this September has been getting to know our learners, and they have made many phone calls and had many meetings with parents and guardians to better understand our learners' goals and needs. Our students are moving into the curriculum and demonstrating their knowledge of what is being taught, and it is exciting to see them grow and develop in class. Please ensure that you check Schoology to keep updated on assessment progress and read your teacher's week at a glance to learn all the beautiful things happening in class. As a school community, we have also been busy getting all our clubs, activities, and extracurriculars off the ground so that every student has the opportunity to be involved in something if they choose.
As a school community, we value and take seriously the importance of creating a safe and secure learning environment for all students. Part of creating this environment is asking our community to wait at the office for your students to come down for appointments or family activities and to drop items off at the office to be distributed to your students during the day. This helps keep the school secure and safe and ensures that instructional times within the school are honoured.
We look forward to seeing and hearing from you at the school as we continue into October. It promises to be a full and exciting month!
