Science Fair Opportunity at NMS
Is your student curious, creative, and loves to experiment? Noble Middle School is once again participating in the Maine Middle School Science and Engineering Fair! This is your student's chance to explore exciting scientific questions and showcase their discoveries!
If interested, your student will have support and guidance with Mr. Peet and Mrs. Leon at school. Please ask them to book to "Science Fair" on Fridays during Squire Time. Don’t let them miss this opportunity to learn, innovate, and have fun!
NMS Library Corner
This February students will learn more about genres. What is a genre and hybrid genre? Why should you try different genres? And how does the organization of a library differ from a bookstore?
To encourage students to not judge a book by its genre, Ms Grabowski will also be promoting a Blind Date with a Book event throughout the month. Books are wrapped and have only a quote from the book on the cover. The title, author, and any details about the book are hidden. Students can check out this display when they visit the library during the month of February and see if they can find a match.

Looking for People to Share Their Talents and Hobbies
Do you have a skill or hobby you’re excited about? We want YOU to come share it with our students! Whether it's music, photography, gardening, crafting, coding, sports, or something totally unique, your passion can spark creativity and inspire young minds.
Join us in making learning more exciting by leading a fun, hands-on session (50 minutes) with a small group of kids. It’s a great way to connect with our school community and give students the chance to explore something new!
Interested? We’d love to hear from you!

Student Council Update
Throughout this year, our Student Council has been hard at work planning events and initiatives to make our school community even better!
We just held our last Superfans Club game. The participating Superfans students enjoyed watching the NMS basketball teams throughout the season. We can't wait to support another team!
Looking ahead, get ready for these exciting activities that will be organized and/or sponsored by the Student Council:
- Spirit week during Feb 10-14
- Concessions and items for sale at the school dance on Feb 13
- Teacher of the Week recognition
- Blanket donations for Project Linus. (Project Linus provides handmade blankets to children 0-18 in the United States who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.)
- Donations for The Jared Box Project. We will be assembling boxes and giving them to York Hospital. This LINK has suggestions for donations. (Boxes are given to young patients in emergency rooms, hospital rooms, surgical centers and clinics. Each box contains small gifts, toys, games, crayons, coloring books and fun activities.).
- Lastly, stay tuned for more details about a craft fair that we are planning!
Do you have ideas? Reach out to your Student Council representatives!

NMS Staff Shout-Out!
Mrs. Lee Leon (Instructional Coach) and Ms. Carly Torrance (6th Grade Math Teacher) have just received the news that their conference submission has been accepted by the New England League of Middle Schools (NELMS)! They will be presenting 'Building an Interconnectedness of Ideas and Real-World Connections in the Math Classroom.' We are proud of the work they are doing at NMS and now they will get a chance to share it with other educators at the NELMS Annual Conference in March!
