MT's purpose is to educate and empower students to become responsible citizens.
A Few Words From the Principal
It has been an exciting time for many of our teachers here this week with our students taking their time and doing their best on State Assessments. We wish we had their results to share, but those will come later this summer.
The end of the year is quickly approaching, but we still have work to do here at MT. Please encourage your student to do their best, be kind to others, and end the year on a high note. We have lots of activities coming up in the next few weeks - and we are looking forward to seeing our students showcase what they have been working on over the last few weeks. Looking forward to seeing all of you at our upcoming events.

Screenager
A presentation for parents and children concerned about mental health in the digital age.
Millions of young people experience high levels of stress, anxiety, and depression. In this context, we follow physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston as she explores innovative solutions for enhancing adolescent well-being in the digital age.
During our time together, we will view the film, which serves as a resource to uncover essential skills for building stress resiliency within schools and our community. This film is primarily intended for children aged 10 and older but may also be suitable for younger audiences with parental guidance.

Blind Date with a Book
The MT Library Media Center held a reading challenge during the month of March. Kids could choose books hidden in paper bags, based on their first impression passages. These books flew off the shelves with 28 kids participating! Once done, they filled out their Book Date Cards and received a candy treat. Then two winners were drawn for the larger prizes: Ellie K and Annie M were the winners of the “Blind Date With A Book” challenge, receiving their prize baskets on Monday.
6th grade South students participated in sound stations to study how mechanical waves, like sound, can reflect, diffract, constructive interference, destructive interference, and refraction.
