As we enter the final weeks of the school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for the support, energy, and heart you've brought to Foothill this year. It’s hard to believe how quickly the year has flown by!

These last few weeks are filled with celebration, reflection, and important milestones. I’m so proud of all our students have accomplished and deeply grateful for our dedicated staff and supportive families who make this community so special.

Condensed timeline for 8th grade Promotion

8:15 AM

• Students report to their period 1 class **MUST be here at this time to participate in Promotion

9:45 AM

• Service Road Gates open for parking on blacktop

9:45 AM

• Field Gate Opens for entrance to seating on Foothill Sports Field

10:05 AM

• Service Road Gates close

10:10 AM

• Ceremony starts

• Service Roads open for exiting from the playground parking

• Service Roads are locked - no exiting of vehicles until after 1:00pm

Student information

8th Grade Promotion will be held on the last day of school, Tuesday, June 03rd 10:10am to 11:10am on the Foothill Sport Field.

• Students are to report to their period 1 class by 8:15am dressed and ready to go. It is best that students do not bring any additional items as students will not be able to retrieve any bags or belongings after the ceremony.

• 8th grade students will proceed to the field starting at 10:00am with the ceremony commencing at 10:10am.

• We will advise the students prior to promotion day which side they will walk so you can have the seating advantage for picture taking.

• Please be aware that the rest of the student body will be in their classes.

The front gate to the field will open at 9:45am if you park in the neighborhood.

Access to campus by car with parking information for guests (parents and guardians)

• The Staff parking lot (Cedro Lane) will be unavailable.

• The service road gate (on Cedro Lane through the drive through) will be open for parking starting at 9:40am. If you park on the school blacktop, you will need to follow the signs to walk to the field.

• The maximum speed limit is 5 MPH (there are classrooms and students in session).

• The front gate to the field will open at 9:45am if you park in the neighborhood.

• The service road gates will close at 10:05am.

• 8th grade students will proceed to the field starting at 10:00am with the ceremony commencing at 10:10am.

• The service road will be open for those parking on the blacktop at 11:00am to exit and will close and be locked for car travel at 11:45am.

• The service road gate will not reopen for car travel until well after 1:00pm as we will have students exiting the campus.

Miscellaneous details

• Restrooms will be available by walking along the field path. Look for the signs. Since we are still in session, please refrain from entering the school office or any other parts of the campus.

• There will be three (3) chairs available for each student's family. There will be standing room and we will have a seating area blocked off for those who will be bringing their own chairs.

• 8th grade students may exit the campus with their families after the ceremony or return to class for the remainder of the school day until 12:30pm.

Foothill Middle School appreciates the support families provide through donations for our classes. All Donations are collected through the Foothill MS Webstore, found at that link or on our homepage.

• Donations provide materials, which include licensing, software programs, and supplies; this is especially true of elective classes.
• All the materials (whether tangible or not) are designed to aid students in learning and developing their skills.
• These are ONLY for Foothill MS students. Donations do not feed into the District funds.
• All donations are tax deductible (tax ID#68-0091157). Any contribution is greatly appreciated.
