End of Year Newsletter
Randolph Elementary School
From the Principals' Desks
Thank you to all of our students, families and staff for a great school year. We've had a year full of learning and fun. Over the summer, there will be days when there is no one at the RES office, as we have many trainings and meetings outside of the school during the summer. Please feel free to email myself (mrobinson@orangesouthwest.org), or Stephanie Reyes (sreyes@orangesouthwest.org) if there is something that you need at school over the summer.
Have a great summer, have fun and when there is some down time, keep our students reading!
Yours Warmly,
Melinda Robinson and Mindybeth Pike
Mt. Cardigan
Ms. Skolnick's and Mr. Sean's classes had a fun hike up Mt. Cardigan at the end of the year.
Field Day
We had an amazing field day on our last Friday of the year. A big thank you to our parent and student volunteers that helped to make this happen. Also, thank you to Lauren Futtner for her tireless work to pull off this great day.

Enjoy one final yoga pose for this school year.

Congratulations to our 2nd graders who had a pizza party to celebrate great completion of their homework for the 2023-2024 school year.
New Tradition!
On our last Friday, our RUHS seniors came over to parade through the hallways at RES. What a great opportunity this is for our younger students to celebrate with our seniors. This is a great motivation for our younger students, and we heard it was a thrill for our seniors as well. We hope to make this an annual tradition!

Summer Garden
We have a wonderful small, raised-bed garden on the river side of the school. This gets planted by the students and our farm to school folks. We need help keeping this watered and weeded over the summer. If you have even a day during the summer that you could help out with this, please fill in the day on the volunteer link below.
Letters for Next Year's placements
Letters for each student's class placement will be mailed out on June 7th. We have worked hard to create balanced classes (academically, behaviorally, and socially) keeping everyone's needs in mind. Our class lists have been considered by multiple groups throughout the school (classroom teachers, special educators, interventionists, unified arts, SEL team, and administration) to ensure that our classes are balanced. We trust our amazing teachers and we have placed the students in classrooms for the coming year that we feel are the best fit for everyone. Because of this careful decision making process that we have taken, we won’t be making changes at this point. If you have helpful information that you would like your students’ upcoming teacher to know about your child’s unique needs/abilities, please feel free to email or reach out to them.
Thank you for supporting our highly qualified teachers,
Melinda Robinson and Mindybeth Pike
After School at RES for 2024-2025 School Year
RES is taking over the after school program here at RES next year. Robin's Nest has run it for years, but they are having to step back from this. Our program details are:
Monday -Friday- from dismissal until 5:30
Cost will be $15 a day, $11 for each additional family member enrolled.
Preference for sign up will be based on who responds first and based on those committing to do 5 days a week. We are expecting to have space for as many students as Robin's Nest accommodated, and hopefully more than they were able to take.
Here is the form to express interest in your child being added to the after school list.
