2023-2024 State Champions 4A Girls
2023-2024 State Champions 4A Boys
The Lovington High School Girls and Boys Powerlifting Teams competed at the State Competition on April 13th and 14th.
The Lovington Girls Team earned 59 points, the Silver Girls earned 36 points, and the Portales Girls earned 34 points; making Lovington Girls State Champions!! Way to go Wildcats!!!
The Lovington Boys Team earned 49 points, the Espanola Valley boys earned 39 points, and the Deming Boys earned 22 points, making Lovington Boys State Champions!! Way to go Wildcats!!

The LHS Cheer Team competed at the State Competition on April 6th at the Pit in Albuquerque. The team preformed two routines: Gameday Routine with a score of 93.1 and Cheer with Music Routine with a score of 79.63. This gave Lovington a total score of 172.73, which earned them 1st place, and was 8.36 points ahead of the second winner!!!

The Varsity Girls Tennis Team won 5-4 over Artesia to clench their district title. The Varsity Boys Tennis Team won 5-0 also over Artesia to clench their district title. Both Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys teams will be going to play in the state tournament on May 10th & May 11th!!!

HOSA
The HOSA State Leadership Conference was held on April 11th - April 13th in Albuquerque. Lovington High School took 9 students to the conference. The results of their hard work and efforts are below:

FFA State
Lovington FFA students attended the State Career Development Event Competition on April 3rd - 6th . The students competed in Entomology, Floriculture, Food Science, Horticulture Produce, Poultry, and Wildlife. The Food Science Team placed in the Top 10!!!

Bilingual Seal 2023-2024
The Lovington High School Bilingual Seal Program hosted their annual Bilingual Seal Banquet to recognize the seniors on May 1st at 6:00pm. Forty-six seniors were recognized during the banquet.
Wildcat Theatre
Lovington High School Wildcat Theatre preformed their spring program, Newsies Jr., on April 25th, April 26th, and April 28th for the community at Pannell Auditorium. They did an amazing job!!
