Principal's Message
Dear Cavalier Families,
This is our last week of school before our two-week Fall Break. Our Cavaliers have made it through the first quarter! There will be no school from Monday, September 23 to Monday, October 7. School will resume on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. Fall Break is a great time to catch up on missed work or study for a test that you can take again. Reach out to your teachers and use the time over break to be responsible with your class work. Also take the time to rest and enjoy activities with friends and family!
This week's announcements:
- The first School Site Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 17 at 3:30 pm in the conference room 108. Here is the agenda.
- There is no after school tutoring this Wednesday due to a Faculty Meeting.
- On Friday during Advisory time, we will have the annual Staff vs Student Basketball Game! To be eligible to attend, students must read ONE Achieve3000 article of your choice and pass it with 75%. The article should be read by Wednesday.
- Club TC will be having a Fall Break Program during the first week from Monday, the 23rd to Friday the 27th, free of charge. Please contact Club TC for more information.
Continuing announcements:
- Students and Parents, class changes will still be occurring to balance classes as more students enroll. Every effort will be made to keep students with the same teachers, but the change may be a different period. Thank you for your patience.
- This is a suicide prevention training available online for middle school students. Students, if you feel like you need emotional support from someone, please reach out to a trusted adult.
RISE UP FRIDAYS: Parents may be notified for a parent conference on Fridays due to their student's academics and/or behavior. Students may also be asked to stay on Friday afternoon for tutoring. Please support our partnership in enhancing your student's learning experience.
- A reminder that NO CELL PHONES or earbuds / headphones should be visible on campus. They should be turned off and put in backpacks. We found cell phones to be the cause of many conflicts due to social media. Parents, please support us with this. Do not contact your child through the cell phone during the day. Parents can always call the main office to relay a message to your student. Phones should not be on during CLUB TC and shouldn't be in sight until students are off-campus.
- Parents can register their students for Club TC on the school website or through the QR code below. The Club TC office is in Room 215, close to the white G street gate. Those arriving early must enter through the gate. After school dismissal is also through the white G street gate. Once students exit the Auditorium gate at 3:10 pm they are not allowed to enter back for Club TC.
Please feel free to contact myself or Assistant Principal
