Grizzly Gram
Howdy from Mr. Bouldin - May 3, 2024
Grizzly Families
Happy May everyone! We are definitely in the final stretch of the school year. Our seniors have 19 days left...it is an exciting and scary time for all of them! With the end of the year nearing, parents please be checking Skyward and Canvas in order to keep up with your student and their grades. Encourage great attendance until the very end please. If you have class specific questions, please reach out to the teacher for that class. They are the experts and will have the ability to answer your questions.
Next week we will have SBA testing for our Sophomores on Tuesday (ELA) & Wednesday (Math). Please have your students come to school well rested and ready to rock the test. This test can be used as a pathway to graduation and can help attract more people to our community.
If you ever have questions, please feel free to reach out.

WA Grant gives more money to more people
Washington College Grant (WA Grant) gives more money to more people for more kinds of education and training beyond high school. WA Grant is not reserved for valedictorians or athletes—it is available to all eligible Washington residents, including undocumented students. If you meet the program and income requirements, you have money waiting for you.
WA Grant can help you access many types of education and training:
WA Grant amounts vary based on income, family size, and program cost. An eligible student from a family of four with income of $73,000 or less per year can get a full award. What does that mean? For example, public college tuition would likely be free for a family with three children and a single parent making $34 per hour. For middle-income families, grant amounts are lower. But even someone from a family of four making up to $112,500 per year can get some money to help pay for college or training.
Students and families can use the financial aid calculator to estimate their potential WA Grant award, but the only way to know for sure whether you qualify is to apply for financial aid. Applications for the 2024-25 academic year are now open.
WA Grant helps make college or job training affordable. Learn more at WAgrant.org.
