Good Day!!

Girls Who Code is back again for grades 3-5!! I am so excited to bring this club to our students again this year. This year we will be meeting on Thursdays from 3:45-5pm. It will begin Oct 3, 2024. We will be meeting weekly to build relationships, expanding on the world of STEM, and having fun!!

This year, the sign-up is a little different. You will be signing up via SchoolPay. If you have any issues or questions about it feel free to call the office at 907-864-2100.

Picture day yesterday was a great success and everyone looked fabulous! Fliers were sent home with a QR code for purchasing pictures if you desire. The login to view/purchase pictures is your student's ID number and your email address. Copy of that flier will be included below as well in case you've misplaced yours. If you missed out on picture day yesterday, we will be having re-takes on Tuesday, October 15.

Our next PTO meeting will be held after school on Tuesday, October 1 @ 4:00pm. We will be discussing plans for our annual Halloween Carnival and other upcoming events. If you are unable to make it to the meeting, but are interested in helping with the event, please see opportunities below:

-Candy donations are always appreciated - please drop off at front office

-Haunted House set up help needed on Friday, October 25 during school day

-Game set up help needed before the event begins on Saturday, October 26

We also would like to give a BIG THANK YOU to all the adults who have helped out with popcorn Fridays this year! We have just one more popcorn Friday left before we break for the winter.

Our lost and found is already quite full. If your student is missing a sweater or jacket it is likely here! Please feel free to come by and take a look or send your student to look for any missing items. Thank you!

The results from the Spring 2024 AK STAR and Alaska Science administration are now available for you to view in ParentVUE if your child tested in Mat-Su in spring 2024. Directions on how to view these reports are attached as well as the Family Guide to Assessment Reports. If your child tested in another district in Alaska in spring 2024, you will need to contact the previous district for results.
