Morning/Drop Off Procedures and Tardiness

• For safety, we are requesting that parent drop off their student(s) at the first entrance gate.

• The front gate will close promptly at 8:00am. Students will be marked late if they arrive after this time.

After School SHINE - Parents, please check-in with SHINE Coordinators at door located next to the library in the staff parking lot. You will sign-out your students from the coordinator, not the front office. Thank you.

Students in TK/Kinder through 3rd grade must be picked up every day by an adult or walked home by an older 4th/5th sibling.

Only children in 4th or 5th grade may walk home alone or with younger siblings. Please be sure to fill out a "4th/5th Sibling Permission Slip" from the office if you are allowing your 4th/5th grade student to pick-up a younger sibling.

Late Pick-up - Students who are picked up late in Grades TK-3rd must to be signed out of the office by someone on the Emergency Card and over the age of 18.

• Breakfast and lunch are provided free for all students every day.

• Pets - We do not allow pets on campus, this includes the front of the school. This is for the safety of students.

Parent-teacher conferences will take place from 12/2 through 12/13. Teachers will schedule appointments through Parent Square.

These two weeks will also be minimum days.

• Grades 4-5 Dismissal - 1:40pm

Wednesdays will continue to be early dismissal.

The After School SHINE Program will still be in session.

Please celebrate Winter Wonderland on Wednesday, December 18th from 5pm to 6:30pm. The event will have a Gingerbread House Contest, pictures with Santa, and delicious food for sale such as tamales.

TK, Kinder, and First Grade Classrooms will have Christmas Performances in the Parkview Cafeteria on the following dates and times:

TK Classes - Thursday, December 19th at 8:30am

Kinder Classes - Friday, December 20th at 9:00am

1st Classes - Thursday, December 19th at 6pm

All students (TK-5th) will be dismissed at 11:30am on Friday, December 20th.

The SHINE, after school program, will be cancelled on Friday, December 20. Please make arrangements to pick-up your child at their regular dismissal times.

Winter Break will be from Monday, December 23rd through Friday, January 3rd. Students will return to school on Monday, January 6th.

Please be sure that your child is attending school with their device daily. Devices are used as instructional tools throughout the day and it is essential that they are charged.

Hueneme ESD uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number.
