EDGE - MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP
RECAP FOR OCT 13
We opened in prayer and went around the room taking turns to share our news. See video below.
We then attended Adoration with the RE classes. It was wonderful to have such a large group come together before Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. See video below.
Because Adoration was a bit delayed and went a little longer than planned, we did not have enough time to complete Part 2 of Lesson 1 of Encounter, but will do so on Nov. 3rd. Instead, the Youth voted to finish our time together with FREE TIME!
Many thanks to Karissa Keyfar & Justin Renner for joining us!
COMING UP ON OCT 27
This week EDGE will attend the All Saints Celebration!
Come dressed as your favorite Saint!
HSYG - HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP
RECAP FOR OCT 13
We opened in prayer and took a few minutes to visit with each other. We then attended Adoration together. Being with Christ in the Blessed Sacrament together was made even more special by the beautiful voices of the Teens singing and praying. See video below.
Because Adoration was a bit delayed and went a little longer than planned, we did not have enough time to complete Part 2 of Lesson 1 of Venture, but will do so on Nov. 3rd.
Instead, the Teens enjoyed more chaos & mayhem with a new-to-them game called SPOKES! See video below. After all of the running around, we cooled off outside by taking the long way back to the Youth Room, where they took a minute to catch their breath and have a snack break before finishing with a little free time.
Many thanks to Shannon & Rob Blackburn for blessing us with their ongoing assistance in HSYG!
RECAP FOR OCT 20
In lieu of a Venture lesson, after discussion the Teens chose how they would be able to assist our parish in upcoming events, and then completed an Act of Service. They helped prepare for the All Saints Celebration by filling Saints Goody Bags and assembling Saints Cupcake Toppers.
It happened so fast that I wasn't able to record it, but as they were working I made an announcement when I received the texts that school had been cancelled for the winter storm and the Youth Room erupted in some of the loudest cheers we have ever heard from the Teens!
We only had a few minutes left so we played a few rounds of Bible themed Minute To Win It games before it was time for everyone to head home and prepare for the storm. See video below.
Many thanks to Shannon & Rob Blackburn for blessing us with their ongoing assistance in HSYG!
COMING UP ON OCT 27
Teens are invited and encouraged to attend the All Saints Celebration! Come dressed as your favorite Saint!
Since some Teens may not be able to attend the All Saints Celebration, we will continue the celebrating with an afternoon of their own fun (games, activities, and snacks) at HSYG!
