Kenmoor Community Updates
Week of March 10-14. 2025
A Message from the Admin Team
Dear Kenmoor Middle School Families,
As we move into the spring season, we are also entering an important time of the school year—testing season. While assessments are just one measure of student learning, they provide valuable insights into academic progress and growth. More importantly, they offer an opportunity for students to demonstrate perseverance, effort, and grit—qualities that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
Success is not just about natural ability; it’s about pushing through challenges, staying focused, and putting in the effort even when things feel difficult. At Kenmoor, we encourage our students to embrace a growth mindset—believing that hard work and determination lead to improvement and achievement.
Here’s how you can support your child during this time:
✅ Encourage a positive mindset – Remind your child that challenges help them grow. Effort and persistence matter more than immediate perfection.
✅ Establish a routine – A good night’s sleep, a healthy breakfast, and arriving at school on time can set the stage for success.
✅ Practice stress management – Deep breathing, positive self-talk, and breaks from screen time can help students stay calm and focused.
✅ Celebrate effort – Recognize and praise the hard work your child puts into their studies, not just their test scores.
Together, we can empower our students to do their best by fostering resilience and determination. Let’s make this testing season a time of growth, confidence, and success!
Thank you for your continued support.
A message for students: If you arrive at school after 9:30 and you are a car rider or walker, you will get a red tardy pass. Your teacher will mark you as tardy in Synergy, and it will be unexcused.
If you arrive late on a bus and need breakfast, you can ask for a late breakfast pass at the front security desk.
If you do not ride a late bus and come to class without a red tardy slip or a late breakfast pass, your teacher will send you back to the front office to get one.
Together, We Are Deliberately Grand!
