3rd Week of Advent

Today is the third week of Advent known as Gaudete (Gow-DAY-tay) Sunday. Gaudete means “rejoice”. We rejoice that the birth of the Lord is near! We light the two violet candles and the rose coloured candles today. Because we are celebrating the coming of the Lord, the liturgical colours at mass include rose. In today’s reading, we hear John the Baptist was questioned and persecuted, but he never wavered from his work of preparing the way for the Messiah. 2023/2024 Yearbooks

The 2023/2024 yearbooks have arrived and we handed out to students who ordered them. We do have extra copies of the 2023/2024 yearbook. If you wish to purchase a copy for $25. Please contact the office at 780-416-9526.

Our Week in Pictures

For the last 9 weeks, our Holy Spirit Family was blessed to host 2 student teachers from the University of Alberta. Miss Elyse Coppens and Miss Megan Verhun have truly been an asset to our school community through their participation in school wide events and teaching in the homeroom classes of 3Y and 4H. We wish them all the best as they both return to the University of Alberta to finish their studies in the field of Education.

Donations for Areas of Need

Consider making a donation to support students who are need due to family financial strain. To make a donation please sign into your PowerSchool Account to support Students in Need or school items for students. By making a donation your support will be used to benefit students in need and areas of need within Holy Spirit as determined by school needs and the administration. If you donate $25 or more you are eligible to receive a tax receipt.

School Fees

The 2024-2025 school year fees have been applied to your PowerSchool account. Detailed letters have been sent home and school Fees are due 30 days after they are posted. If you have any questions please contact the office.
