Attention seniors! Don’t miss your chance to celebrate with a custom yearbook ad! Senior ads are the perfect way to highlight your achievements and memories. The Cooper Varsity Tennis team competed this weekend at the 18th Annual Cougar Classic here in Abilene. The Varsity team finished 2nd out 16 teams in the team competition. Here are the top finishers from each draw.
- Boys Singles – Caleb Trujillo 8th place
- Girls Doubles – Lily Muzechenko & Sadie Connally 6th Place
- Girls Singles – Talyn Hardy 6th Place
- Boys Doubles – Jayden Palacios & Trae Foster 5th Place
- Mixed Doubles – Claire Smothermon & Karter Rosenquist 3rd place

To Sophomore and Juniors from MS. Wilkerson:
Did you miss the parent meeting for the 2026 trip to Boston and New York? No worries! Any current sophomores and juniors are still invited to sign up with Ms. Wilkerson for a US History themed trip in June of 2026. Spaces are limited with room for about 20 people exploring historic New England. Talk to Ms. Wilkerson in room 1120 for more information over pricing, fundraising, and registration.

From Student-2-Student:
Cougar Nation- Student 2 Student will be wearing purple S2S shirts on Tuesday March 4th. Find a member, ask about Student 2 Student, and get a treat. 1st come 1st serve.
From The Registrar & Admin:
If you need a VOE or transcript. You will need to submit the request at least 24 hours in advance and it will be ready the following day.
You can make the request with any of the office staff in the Admin Bldg. Also, students must have their student ID to request and pick up their VOE or Transcript.
From Mrs. Mitchell/Testing Coordinator:
For CHS students looking to join the military: we will offer the ASVAB test 6 Mar in the LRC starting 1st period.
The ASVAB test is an aptitude test. It tells the military what job would be best for you. You must be 16 years and older.
Sign up with Mrs. Mitchell in the counselor's office or ask any teacher to email her your name and student ID.
From Mr. Wilkerson:
The "Sophomore of the Year" scholarship, worth $600, is now available in my classroom (1104). Sophomores, this is a great opportunity.
Abilene Education Foundation and Community Foundation of Abilene give out thousands of dollars to our students every year. You still have time to complete the application. The deadline is March 1, 2025. Please don't wait any longer.
The Abilene Woman's Club scholarship is available. Stop by and pick up an application.
Those planning to attend Texas A&M, The A&M Club is now accepting applications for its 2025 scholarship. Stop by and pick up an application or complete it using the online form on Remind/Google Classroom.
Seniors, scholarship opportunities are here, and the February deadlines are approaching. All scholarships are posted on Remind and Google Classroom. Take advantage of these great opportunities to help cover future education costs.
Spring tours are posted on Remind and Google Classroom. These tours are for Seniors and Juniors. Sign up soon so we can have an accurate count.
From Mrs. West:
Seniors, Josten’s will be on campus next Tuesday, March 4 in the auditorium foyer from 10-5 to deliver Cap & Gowns to those that submitted orders prior to the December deadline. If you ordered after that deadline, they are not in yet. If you have not ordered at all, please get those orders in ASAP or you will not have one at graduation.
If you ordered a class ring from Josten’s and were unable to attend the ring ceremony in the fall, they will have those here for pickup up on March 4 as well.

Boys Soccer:
Come out and support the boys soccer team tonight for senior night as they play Wichita Falls Memorial. Game time is at 5:00 at Shotwell Stadium
