Bring a snack to help feed a hungry student at snack time! During the week of September 3rd-8th, we encourage all 5th grade families to participate, although every family is welcome to make a donation. All donations are put towards refilling each class's snack bin. We welcome boxes of individually wrapped nut-free snacks, such as pretzels, goldfish, nutrigrain bars, and applesauce pouches.

Donations can be dropped off at the front office or have them shipped directly by shopping our Amazon wish list at https://tinyurl.com/PTESnackPantry and selecting "Prairie Trail Elementary c/o Natalie Smith" as the shipping address at checkout. 📦

5th Graders will come home with a voucher that they can use to get into the Marcus vs. Keller game on Friday, August 30th. Only 5th graders who attend a Marcus Feeder Pattern Elementary School will be allowed to use the vouchers. 5th graders will get to lead the Marauders onto the field prior to the game on Friday, August 30 at 7:00pm.

Fifth graders must be in the North End Zone by 6:45pm with their school. Please do not arrive before 6:30pm.

Students are encouraged to wear red or their favorite Marcus attire. We would love to see you in your favorite RED Prairie Trail shirt.

Parents MUST have a plan for after the students run. Please know where your child will go. They will be immediately released into the stadium at the North End Zone gate.

The voucher will admit one student only to the game. You must have the voucher to get into the stadium and to get onto the field.

The voucher may not be exchanged or traded. It will not admit an adult. It has no monetary value.

More information will be sent to 5th grade families this week.

Marcus High School cheer coach, Coach Wilkin’s, would like to invite our students to their Cheer Clinic on Oct. 5 from 9:00-12:00. All participants will be invited to cheer at the Marcus vs. Denton Guyer High School football game on Oct. 18 at 7:00 pm at Marcus Stadium.

You can also purchase Battle of the Axe (against Lewisville HS), Mound Showdown (against Flower Mound HS), and Pink Out (Breast Cancer Awareness) shirts for online sales only, but the orders will delivered to your Prairie Trail ES.

The Hall of Fame Committee of Marcus High School is committed to honoring those students whose achievements, character, and service to others serve as an inspiration and role model to today's students.

Marcus High School has also been blessed by faculty and staff that have served as a strong foundation for students. The Hall of Fame Committee of Marcus High School is committed to honoring those former faculty members for their contributions and support of Marcus High School.

The Marcus Hall of Fame Committee is comprised of current and former Marcus High School staff members who will be responsible for selecting and inducting former students and staff into the Hall of Fame.

Prairie Trail is now accepting original art submissions for the National Reflections Theme: Accepting Imperfection! Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. Advancing entries will be specially recognized in an awards ceremony and all participants will be invited to a special glow party!

Students can enter any/all of the six categories as many times as they would like: Visual Arts, Music Composition, Literature, Photography, Dance Choreography, and Film Production.

If you plan to volunteer on campus at any point in the 2024-2025 school year, please either create a VOLY account or renew your account from last year. LISD's VOLY site is Lewisvilleisd.voly.org. There is also a VOLY app you can use, found in the app store for your phone provider.

📣📣 ATTENTION!! 📣📣 1st-4th Grade Parents!

This year our 1st-4th graders will be getting the newest version of iPads. This is very good news and we are excited that this was approved by our voters in the technology package of the bond.

The new iPads need a USB-C jack for the charger and headphones. This is a different jack from what the majority of headphones come with. In order for the headphones that are in the wrap packs to be compatible with the new iPads, an adapter is needed. Here is the best part, LISD has purchased adapters for students who do not have headphones with the new USB-C jack!

Again, this is for 1st-4th graders ONLY.

If you are a Kinder or 5th grade parent, your child will use the more common headphone S-jack. No need for an adapter.
